Activities / ideas:
- Collections of things outdoors. Sort into leaves, stones etc, arrange in ten frame order, count, place value, skip count, counting very large collections sorting into 10s and 100s.
- Make cup cakes
- Find patterns around the house – cup cake tins, window frames, shelves etc.
- Sharing, fractions – sharing meals, pizza, cutting fruit into halves, quarters.
- Doubling items.
- Make play dough – fractions halves, doubles etc. Egg cartons with 2 bits removed make great 10 frames for counting.
- Card games.
- Money – coin rubbings, drawing notes, use online lunch order menus for dream lunch orders – using money.
- Use mail catalogues to design dream bedrooms (money, addition, subtraction).
- Keep a journal of what they have been doing during the lockdown
